Gorgeous mid-century pottery salt & pepper shakers pair. They have an eye-catching tenmoku glaze design, reminiscent of some of NZ's excellent potters from the mid-late 20th Century. They are unsigned but are remind me of other egg-shaped shakers made by Mira Smisek. I have recently found a similar pair on-line in the U.S. so it's also possible they are from a Japanese or American potter. Either way, a fab pair. They measure approximately 10cm tall x 6cm across, with one a little larger than the other. Both in excellent condition and they retain their original corks. There is a tiny fleabite on the base of one shaker.
